Description
The VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY is seeking the services of a qualified Contractor to furnish all labor, material and expert supervision needed to install aluminum storefront doors with automatic openers, push-buttons and safeties. All work shall be in accordance with "Statement of Work", any government provided drawings, specifications and applicable contract requirements. The contractor shall provide all tools, travel, labor, materials, permits, licenses and supervision as indicated in drawings and specifications for Project #603-09-402. All work performed shall be according to the specifications contained in the solicitation package. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the Size Standard is $33.5 Million Dollars. The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to: the installation of all aluminum storefront doors with automatic openers, push-buttons and safeties on 5 North at the Louisville VA Medical Center. Contractor will be responsible for replacing and repairing any existing utilities, furniture and materials damaged during construction work. All work under this contract shall be in strict accordance with specifications provided. Contractor shall post Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) at work sites for any chemicals or substances to be used during construction work which may pose a physico-chemical, health and/or environmental risk. Contractor will be responsible for installing all light fixtures complete and operable in accordance with NEC 2005. Contractor shall perform most of this contract work during business hours, Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Contractor may also work in the evenings if approved through COTR and contracting. The Contractor shall warrant that all work performed under this project conforms to American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) current standards, International Building Code-2003, VA Master Specifications Index (PG-18-1), National Electric Code (NFPA 70): NEC 2005 Handbook, OSHA Regulations & Guidelines-current standards, NFPA 99-Standard for Health Care Facilities: 2005 Edition and NFPA 101-Life Safety Code: 2006 Edition. Potential contractors must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) at the time of submission of their qualifications in order to be considered for award. This procurement is 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The project duration is expected to take 60 days. Firms desiring consideration should respond to the Solicitation notice, to be posted on or before April 15, 2009.
