Description
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding an Information Technology (IT) Vendor Fair on April 30, 2009. The purpose of the fair is to enable businesses to learn about the NRC’s IT products, services and solutions contract requirements and other business-related needs. All businesses, large, small, small-disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, etc. who specialize in IT services, products and solutions are invited to attend. The fair is scheduled during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will take place at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Two White Flint North Building, 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. Check-in/Registration is between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., followed by welcoming and opening remarks from NRC’s Chief Information Officer, and the Director of the Office of Information Service. The remainder of the vendor fair will be devoted to conducting one-on-one discussions concerning NRC’s business driven technology needs for the upcoming years. These needs are categorized as follows: COTS and Application Development; Organizational Productivity; Easy Information Retrieval; Web 2.0; Technology Infrastructure; Business Continuity; Enterprise Security; and Technology Management Excellence. Vendors will be assigned 15-minute “appointments” with NRC to conduct face-to-face discussions on the specific information technology business categories. Interested vendors will be required to pre-register at the following NRC web-site: http://www.NRC.gov/public-involve/conferences.html. As part of pre-registration, vendors are required to select the specific information technology business categories that they are interested in discussing with the NRC staff. Appointments will be made on a first-come first served basis. During conference check-in, each vendor will be assigned appointment times for each information technology business category selected. For security purposes, vendors are required to complete the pre-registration form in its entirety. Failing to do so may delay your registration request. Due to space limitations, vendor participation will be limited to two representatives from each company. We estimate that a maximum of ten companies for each business category will be able to attend. Each registrant will be notified via e-mail when their registration has been accepted and attendance will be confirmed prior to the date of the fair. Any vendors unable to register will be automatically placed on a waiting list and notified of any cancellations. Waitlisted vendors are encouraged to attend the next agency “Business Meet and Greet Seminar” scheduled for June 4, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Rockville, MD 20852. Email Smallbusiness@nrc.gov to register for this seminar. Vendors are encouraged to review NRC’s 2009 Forecast of Contract Opportunities at the following web-site: http://www.nrc.gov/about-nrc/contracting/forecast/fy2009-nrc-contract-opportunities-forecast. NOTE: This fair is not the forum to discuss the follow-on procurement for the Infrastructure Support and Services contract. The pre-solicitation conference for this procurement is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2009. A separate notice will be posted on FedBizOpps announcing the conference for this procurement. For additional information concerning the IT Vendor Fair, contact Carolyn Cooper, at Carolyn.Cooper@nrc.gov.
