Description
This is the second notice and is called the synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Southeast Regional Office plans to issue Solicitation IFB ATL-0001 to install approximately 7,800 square foot of a urethane mortar seamless floor system to include an integral six-inch cove base in the food service building. In addition, bids will be required for the following Alternate Bid Items: 1) Approximately 1,700 square feet of urethane mortar seamless floor system to include an integral six-inch cove base in coolers and freezers 2) Approximately 2,400 square feet of urethane mortar seamless floor system to include an integral six-inch cove base around serving lines and dish machine room. The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment and supplies to complete the work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 238330, with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced web-site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations fo contracts for which they are eligible. Any contractor interested in receiving a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. There are no tax exemptions. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources are encouraged to submit a bid which will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or about April 22, 2009 with an anticipated bid opening date of May 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The bid opening will be conducted in the front lobby of the Southeast Regional Office located at 3800 Camp Creek Parkway, SW, Building 2000, Atlanta, Georgia 30331.
