- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Logistics Service Area has a requirement to Provide Un-Armed Security Guard Services at the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Newark Liberty Airport, Newark, New Jersey. Request Solicitation No. DTFAEA-09-R-NEEGD. Services are to commence on or about July 1, 2009 for an initial Base Year, plus Four (4) One-Year Option Periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide Un-armed Security Guard Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and ten legal holidays. Company must have at a minimum five (5) years experience in security guard services, have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and be within a one hundred (100) mile radius of the facility located in Newark, New Jersey. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Map Quest will be the site used to determine the distance. No Post Office Box Address will be excepted. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between $2,000,000.00 and $2,500,000.00 for the entire contract period. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR COMPETITION AMONG SMALL ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGE 8(a) BUSINESSES. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a Screening Information Request (SIR). Companies who meet the above requirements shall fax their request to Ms. Catherine De Toma, Fax No. (718) 995-5685, on company letterhead showing the office address which shall be within the one hundred (100) mile radius of the Newark, NJ, Site. All other requests will not be accepted. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for SIR's will no longer be accepted after April 17, 2009. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
