Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, intends to award a sole source contract pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 to Andritz Hydro Corporation, University Research Park, 10735 David Taylor Drive, Suite 500, Charlotte, NC 28262, for repair of the 80 megawatt generating Unit 5 Rotor Rim at the Hartwell Powerplant, Georgia. The generator was designed and manufactured by Canadian GE, who was acquired by VA Tech. VA Tech changed their name to Andritz Hydro Corporation. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a written capability statement to the Contracting officer which will be considered. Submitted information will be evaluated solely on the basis of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to complete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
