Description
The government currently intends to reserve this contract action for Small Business. The government is seeking sources for the procurement and delivery of a quantity of ballistic rubber blocks to use as ballistic protection for target systems on live fire small arms ranges. These rubber blocs shall be installed on existing Shock Absorbing Concrete (SACON) walls. Additionally, a quantity of ballistic rubber panels is required for use in SACON live fire grenade houses to prevent shrapnel from eroding the SACON at too fast a rate. Delivery is required to MCB Hawaii, located at Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. Ballistic rubber blocks and panels are commonly available from several commercial vendors often under the brand name Dura Bloc. MCB Hawaii requires a total of ninety (90) super Dura Blocks that measure 24 inches by 48 inches by 9 inches and eight hundred and twenty six (826) Dura Blocks that measure 24 inches by 12 inches by 9 inches. There is a requirement for ballistic rubber panels for the Grenade Room on Range 8A. The contractor shall provide a total of one hundred and fifty five (155) super Dura Panels that measure 48 inches by 24 inches by 2 inches to meet this requirement. The contractor shall provide enough ballistic rubber glue to install all the Dura Blocks. Installation of the blocks and the panels shall be accomplished by MCB Hawaii personnel. The award will be approximately $120,000 with an anticipated delivery date of 90 days after contract award. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Written response is requested within 15 days after publication of this notice.
