Description
The Army Contracting Command (ACC), Rock Island Contracting Center (RICC) is conducting a Sources Sought/Market Survey for potential sources to produce the inert M54A1 Burster Tube, P/N: 9238842 Rev: F. Estimated quantity is 24,000 each. Respondents must demonstrate that they have the capability to manufacture steel, carbon tubing, seamless, nonresulphurized per American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A519. Steel tube will be 20.32 -.01 in length with a wall thickness of.068 -.006 with an Outside Diameter (OD) of.755 -.011. Tubes will have a minimum mechanical property requirement of: 75 KSI YS, 85 KSI UTS, and 7% Elongation in a 2 specimen. Vendors will have the capabilities to coat the interior and exterior surfaces in accordance with finish 5.1.1 of MIL-STD-171. Coat exterior surfaces with finish No. 24.6 of MIL-STD-171. Alternative Primer: DWG 12991256, Sherwin Williams Part No. E90R351 in accordance with MID-STD-171. Primer coating thickness shall be 1.0 Mil Min to 2.0 Mil Max. Apply Cellulose Nitrate Base Adhesive and sealing compound, SPEC A-A-529A. 1.0 Mil Max to interior surface. Only seamless steel tubing will be used. All other alternatives listed in P/N 9238842 will not be considered for this procurement. Required delivery date will be 60 days after contract award. Respondents must provide estimated minimum and maximum monthly production capacities. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. A TDP will be made available should a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) be released at a later date. The Government anticipates evaluating and selecting the awardee of the anticipated contract for this requirement based on price only. The Government also anticipates that a Pre-Award Survey will be performed to determine the awardees technical and production capabilities. Responses to this survey shall be submitted electronically within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication to Rock Island Contracting Center, ATTN: CCRC-AR/Carrie Lansing at carrie.b.lansing@us.army.mil. All information collected from this market survey shall be used for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay respondents for information submitted.
