The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center (DALC) is conducting market research for wireless receivers, transmitters, and adaptors that will interface with hearing aids or cochlear implants. Technical literature or specifications noting the type of device and how it interfacing with either/or both hearing aids and cochlear implants in needed. Devices that can stand-alone and do not need a hearing aid or cochlear implant will not be considered. Include information in regards to warranty and accessories that might be available also. Only commercially available items should be submitted. This information will be used to assist the VA in developing new requirements for future procurement. We are also looking to see if this procurement could be set-aside for small businesses. All manufacturers and distributors are encouraged to respond. In order to help make this determination, the VA DALC needs to know the size of the business, type of business, size of manufacturer and where the device is manufactured. Interested participants should mail the requested information to the attention of Gail A Hixon, Contracting Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center, PO Box 25166, Denver, CO 80225-0166. Information should be received by close of business on April 15, 2009. Information can also be emailed to gail.hixon@va.gov. Any questions may be directed to Gail A Hixon at 303-914-5182. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID. THE VA DALC IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND.
