Description
NAICS Code: 334516 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Constantinos Sioutas, Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Southern California, 3620 S. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles,CA 90089, for the acquisition of two(2) High-Volume Impactors for size-segregated collection of PM. Performance Specifications: The High-Volume Impactors must meet the following requirements: (1) size ranges,0.18um; 0.18 - 2.5 um; 2.5- 10um: (2) includes a Gast 2067 rotary vane pump; (3) operates at least 400 L/min; (4) pressure drop less than 10 inches of water; (5) weighs less than 10 lbs. The EPA has identified Constantinos Sioutas the only vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. The circumstance permitting is FAR 6.302-1, Only one Responsible Source. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability, no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
