Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is Unrestricted. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 493190, Size Standard $25.5 Million. Solicitation/Purchase Requisition Number W900598339A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30 effective 17 February 2009. The Government intends to award one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government price and other factors considered. The Government intends to award 1 Contract Line Item Number: CLIN 0001 - Chemical Storage Container no smaller than 9 FT H x 8 FT W X 32 FT L. Manufacturer: Lab Safety Supply Manufacturer Part Number: 7BB-9394 or Equal Chemical storage container (CSC) must safely and effectively store hazardous materials. The contractor shall comply with all federal laws, codes, regulations, and statutes that apply to the performance of this contract. It is the contractor's responsibility to obtain and adhere to all applicable federal standards. Flammable storage container shall be in accordance with NFPA 30. It shall be a metal storage cabinet for flammable liquids with a flash point below 100 degrees Fahrenheit and be classified to hold Class 1A and/or dispensing Class 1B Liquids. AFOSH Standard 91-501 Para 22.4.3.3.1, Para 22.4.4, and para.10.10.4.1. Chemical Storage Container (CSC) Requirements and Salient Characteristics: CSC shall include an electrically equipped building for application of an interior and exterior lighting system. CSC shall incorporate a fire and explosion protection system as recommended for storage of Class 1A and/or dispensing Class 1B flammable or combustible materials. CSC will contain a heating, forced ventilation, and air conditioning system that includes insulation with an R-11 or better thermal rating for chemical stability and freeze protection. If quoting an or Equal product, vendor must include salient characteristics with quote. 1. CSC building shall be at least 9 FT H x 8 FT W X 32 FT L. 2. CSC building shall be an explosion resistant building suitable for storing Class 1A and/or dispensing Class 1B flammable liquids. 3. CSC building shall be flame retardant and at least 4 hour fire resistant for storing Class 1A and/or dispensing Class 1B flammable liquids. 4. CSC building shall have an interior and exterior lighting system. 5. CSC building shall have a forced ventilation system (fan). 6. CSC building shall have a climate control system to include an air conditioning and heating that will provide chemical stability (over-heating/freezing) of Class 1A and/or dispensing Class 1B flammable liquids. 7. The contractor shall furnish all parts, materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary for the installation of the CSC. Addenda to FAR 52.212-1, 52.211-6. In accordance with the FAR 13.106-1(a)(2) offerors are notified that award will be made on the basis of price and technical suitability.
