- Description
- This project entails the removal and disposal of an existing hot water heater system located in the Cafeteria mechanical room at the Muhlenberg Career Development Center and the installation of a new system. The newly installed system must be a programmable tankless natural gas fired water heating system with a total of 670,00 BTU capacity. The system must be capable of producing a continuous flow of 12gpm at not less than a 100 degree temperature rise. The system must incorporate a 120 gallon storage tank with a programmable circulating pump capable of being automatically turned off during non-work hours and equipped with a thermostat allowing the unit to shut off when a programmable temperature is acheived. All installed equipment will meet or exceed the Energy Star rating. The existing electrical and plumbing systems must be installed/reworked to support the new units. All venting will be through the roof by a non-leaking vent system. Roof repairs to match existing vents and roofing will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Two set of as built electrical and plumbing drawings will be required. There will be a pre bid walk through at the Center on April 30, 2009 at 10:00 am.
