Description: TACOM Rock Island intends to issue a sole source award to Creaform Inc., 5825 Rue Saint-Georges, Levis (Quebec) G6V 4L2, Canada, for a Handyscan 3D EXAscan Laser Scanner, which can be used in a hand held mode and from a lap top computer. The hand held scanner can be used to scan any part regardless of size in one pass and without the need to reduce the larger parts into cut up pieces. In addition, the software that comes with the scanner converts the image in the scanner into a 3D virtual model in Pore and AutoCAD languages for further use in 3D assemblies and for conversion into 2D engineering drawings. In addition to the scanner and its software, this award includes maintenance and onsite training. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. However, proposals from responsible sources shall be considered.
