- The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold pre-solicitation conferences on May 6th and May 7th at the Richmond and Salem, Virginia laundry facilities respectively. The distance between Richmond and Salem is approximately 200 miles. The anticipated size of the Richmond and Salem awards will exceed $1million each. The applicable NAICS code is 333312, and industry feedback is desired. Conference details are as follows: The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a pre-solicitation conference in Richmond, VA. on May 6th, 2009 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Eastern Time. The VA intends to purchase laundry equipment to include but not limited to: One (1) Laundry Ancillary Support Water Storage/Pumping System and related systems; one (1) Soil Storage/Sorting Conveyor System; one (1) Soil Overhead Monorail Conveyor System; one (1) Wash System; one (1) Gas Heated Drying and Conditioning Tumbler; one (1) Semi Automated Cart Washer and Dryer; one (1) Cleanside Overhead Semi-automated Monorail Storage Conveyor System; two (2) Flatwork Ironing Systems; one (1) Garment Tunnel Finisher; three (3) each 120/125 Pound Drying and Conditioning Tumblers; three (3) each 80/85 Pound Washer Extractors; one (1) Large Piece Folder; three (3) Small Piece Folder Machines; and four (4) Folding Tables. The VA intends to purchase laundry equipment to include but not limited to: One (1) each Continuous Batch Washer Single Stage Ram Press; one (1) each Continuous Batch Press Conveyor; one (1) each Drying and Conditioning Tumbler Dryer Shuttle; one (1) each Railplan for Dryer Shuttle; four (4) each 200/300 Pound Gas Heated Drying and Conditioning Tumblers; one (1) each Dryer Multi-Trac Controller; one (1) each Tunnel Press Power Zone; one (1) each Medium Production Combination Spreader Feeding Machine; one (1) each Small Piece Folding Machine; one (1) each Large Piece Folder; two (2) each 180/190 lb.
