- National Security Technologies is seeking sources sought for the following: Background National Securities Technologies, LLC (NSTec) is accepting interest inquires for a contract to supply lease computers. The subcontractor would provide computers under an ID/IQ Agreement for 36 month lease periods. Currently there are approximately 1,700 leased desktops and 600 leased laptops in the NSTec environment. An estimated one-third of these systems will be replaced annually as current leases expire. Scope of Work • Subcontractor will provide leased computers on schedule provided by NSTec. • NSTec will property tag and enter assets into our asset tracking system. • NSTec standard configuration Image will be developed, updated, and installed by NSTec. Installation, maintenance, and desktop support will be performed by NSTec personnel. • Computers will be returned to vendor without hard drives. Hard drive costs will be included in the upfront lease cost. • NSTec will interface directly with the Subcontractor on technical issues and to request computer parts for repairs. • The subcontractor must maintain a 10-12 workday delivery time on all computer orders. • NSTec reserves the right to make bi-annual model changes to both desktop and laptop models as changes are introduced to the public. An evaluation unit will be provided by the subcontractor to NSTec personnel for image development prior to complete order. • All computers are delivered to NSTec North Las Vegas Warehouse for acceptance. End of lease returns are picked up from the same location. • The end-of-lease $1 buyout option on leased computer upon expiration. Requirements for Computer Systems • Computer models will be those listed or better. • All computers will be environmentally "green", use non-hazardous and recycled parts, and are recyclable themselves after the end of use. • Computers must be Electronics product Energy Assessment Tool (EPEAT) silver rated or better. • No microphones in Laptops. • BIOS will be password protected. • Laptop hard drives must be encrypted with at least 256-bit AES encryption. • Standard consistent configuration (including peripherals) on the quote during model duration unless requested by NSTec (no line item changes on the quote, for example, optical mouse vs. standard mouse, cloth laptop bags vs. leather bags).
