- NAICS: 811310 The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking potential sources for the overhaul of the main diesel engines used on the Coast Guard’s 47’Motor Life Boats (MLB) boats and the 55’Aids to Navigation Boats (ANB) boats. The engines to be overhauled will include:(1) Detroit Diesel 6V92 DDEC IV, Stock Numbers; NSN: 2815-01-442-4541 and NSN: 2815-01-442-4549 shall be overhauled tested and have the proper configuration modeling Master Serial #06VF222697 and (2) Detroit Diesel 12V71 engines. Stock Numbers NSN: 2815-01-120-4016 and NSN: 2815-01-120-0992 which shall be overhauled, tested and have the proper configuration modeling Master Serial # 12VA80667 (Starboard) and 12VA66188 (Port). All engines shall be overhauled, tested, preserved, packaged and marked in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Numbers: 024-R-233-0307 and 026-R-233-224. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts shall be utilized from Detroit Diesel. No alternate or substitute parts shall be acceptable. The Government intends to award at least two requirements type contracts, each consisting of one base year and four option years, as a result of this solicitation. It is the Government’s belief that only Detroit Diesel and their authorized repair facilities can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper form, fit, and function of all its components therefore it is the Government’s intention to solicit and negotiate with only Detroit Diesel and their authorized repair facilities. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to repair these items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include a letter from the OEM verifying the offeror is an authorized repair facility and verifying the OEM will supply only genuine OEM parts. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited.
