Description
AFOSR-BAA-2009-2 FULL ANNOUNCEMENT The AFOSR's Young Investigator Research Program (YIP) is to support scientists and engineers who have received Ph.D. or equivalent degrees in the last five years (on or after 1 May 2004) and who show exceptional ability and promise for conducting basic research. The objective of this program is to foster creative basic research in science and engineering, enhance early career development of outstanding young investigators, and increase opportunities for the young investigators to recognize Air Force mission and the related challenges in science and engineering. Proposals addressing the research areas of interest for the Air Force Research Laboratory will be considered. The basic research areas of current interest are available on-line at the AFOSR web site: http://www.wpafb.af.mil/AFRL/afosr/ Select "Research Interests of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR-BAA-2009-1) For detailed information regarding technical goals, potential applicants are advised to refer to the announcement cited above and may contact AFOSR program managers listed therein to explore mutual interests before submitting proposals. AFOSR will not issue paper copies of this announcement. The sponsors involved in this program reserve the right to select and fund for award all, some, or none of the proposals in response to this announcement.
