Description
MODIFICATION TO PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA Puget Sound Health Care System (PSHCS) located in the state of Washington, intends to award at least one Basic Ordering Agreement for ground ambulance services. The area of coverage will include all of western Washington and portions of eastern Washington, Oregon and Idaho. This is NOT a solicitation. The solicitation VA-260-09-RQ-0056 will be available on or about April 10, 2009 and will be available for download from the www.fbo.gov website. Solicitation documents will only be available in electronic format. Hardcopy documents will not be issued. Proposal will be due approximately 3 weeks after issuance of the solicitation. DESCRIPTION. The Contractor shall furnish Advance Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Critical Care Transport (CCT) ambulance services for eligible beneficiaries of the PSHCS. Services shall be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Upon the request of authorized PSHCS staff, the Contractor will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transports of patients to designated locations. The Contractor may be required to transport patients to another facility for treatment or tests, wait, and transport same patient to a pre-determined destination. The vehicles, personnel and services rendered will conform to all federal, state and local statues, rules and regulations; including, but not limited to the state of Washington, Department of Health EMS and Trauma System at http://www.doh.wa.gov/hsqa/emstrauma/ and Statutes, Rules and Legislation at http://www.doh.wa.gov/hsqa/emstrauma/rcwindex.htm; and all local codes, laws, regulations, rules and statutes. All responsive offers received from responsible businesses by the due date noted in the solicitation will be considered for an award.
