Description
This amendment to notice N00019-09-R-0226 is to inform industry of the release of the Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System/Tier II Unmanned Aircraft System (STUAS/Tier II UAS) Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFP supports the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the program and includes options for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and an Early Operational Capability (EOC). The proposal due date and proposal submittal instructions are included within the RFP. The technical library CD-ROM will be sent via express mail concurrently with RFP release to all offerors who have submitted range safety clearance packages for participation in the flight demonstration in accordance with previous FedBizOpps notices. The Government intends to conduct a Pre-Proposal Conference (PPC) on Tuesday, 21 April 2009 at the J.T. Daugherty Conference Center, 22211 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park MD 20653 from 8:30AM to 4:30PM EST. The purpose of the PPC event is to provide an overview of the RFP and mandatory flight demonstration, as well as to answer previously submitted questions pertaining to the RFP. Accordingly, offerors are directed to submit any written questions to the PCO no later than 16 April 2009. Some questions may be answered in advance of the event via FedBizOpps. Other questions will be answered in open session during the PPC. The Government will not entertain impromptu questions and will not be conducting one-on-one discussions during the PPC event. Questions received after the event will be answered via FedBizOpps. Following the PPC, all event materials and answered questions will be provided via email to all offerors. For planning purposes, the Government will provide PPC event information to demonstration registrants via email on or about Friday, 10 April 2009. This event is not open to the public. The Government also intends to conduct a Site Survey during the week of 27 April 2009 to support the flight demonstration. Site Survey event information will also be provided to demonstration registrants via email on or about Friday, 10 April 2009. Directions to the J.T.
