- Arcata Associates, Inc. (Arcata/UNITeS), performing under Prime ContractNNM04AA02C, intends to negotiate only with @Hand Corporation; a small business, toenhance the existing deployed Mobile Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)which was implemented by @Hand Corporation in 2004 in support of the NASA MSFC FacilitiesEngineering Department. The enhancements (and additional "Asset@Hand" licenses & support)are detailed in the attached Request For Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW). This acquisition is being conducted under an expedited basis. Arcata/UNITeS intends to acquire the commercial items and services using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have eight (8) business days ending 13 April 2009, 4:00 PM CST, tosubmit in writing their proposals to the identified point of contact. This announcementconstitutes the only solicitation, as proposals are being requested per the attachedRequest for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW) which are located in the attachedWORD files. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of anyamendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to FEDBizops who wishto obtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis/solicitation, please access saidinformation at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=62 as nohardcopy will be provided by this office. This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet theaccessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29U.S.C. 7941). The specific Technical Standards that apply will be identified in thesolicitation; Section H-23 of the RFP. In responding to any solicitation subsequent tothis synopsis, you must state if the products/enhancements as proposed will meet theidentified Technical Standards. Additional information regarding Section 508 can beobtained from the General Services Administration at http://www.section508.gov/ or fromthe Arcata point of contact identified in this announcement. Responses received without the required proposal information on the required due datewill be considered non-responsive to the synopsis/solicitation. Oral communications arenot accepted in response to this Synopsis/RFP.
