- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs proposes to contract for courier services at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The contractor shall transport items to and from numerous locations (Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) listed under the "Schedule of Items" in the solicitation. The base year performance period will be June 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009 with four (4) one-year option periods to be exercised at the government's discretion-Option 1, October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010; Option 2, October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011; Option 3, October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012; and Option 4, October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013. This solicitation is an RFP set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.. All qualified offerors are invited to provide a proposal. Offers, including options, shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing, technical competency, and satisfactory past performance, as outlined in the Evaluation Factors in the solicitation. The Government anticipates award of a commercial item contract to the offeror whose offer provides the best value to the Government. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about April 3, 2009 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. They may be sent by email to: arlene.jorgensenhillestad@va.gov. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Proposals must be signed and submitted in writing by April 16, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. CST; be in accordance with the solicitation instructions outlined in the solicitation; and be timely. No web based proposals or faxes will be accepted. The NACIS code assigned to this procurement will be 492110 with an employee size standard of $1,500 employees.
