Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE MULTIPLE AWARD CONTRACT CONTRACTORS UNDER THE EXISTING ELLSWORTH AFB 8(A) MACC IDIQ CONTRACT. Repair To LEED 28 HQ/OG (Buildings 7925 and 7918) 1. Project shall consist of design, investigate, and Repair the LEED 28th HQ Facility, Building 7925, and the 28th OG Facility, Building 7918. Accomplish all design, investigate, and repair LEED work for 28th HQ Facility, Building 7925, and the 28th OG Facility, Building 7918 as detailed in the statement of work accomplishing various energy and facility improvements to the 28th HQ Facility, Building 7925, and the 28th OG Facility, Building 7918. As a minimum, the following work shall be accomplished: a. Building 7925: i. Replace exterior windows with 1" thick thermal pane windows, clad exterior and inside light laminated for force protection. Exterior clad color and interior finish to match existing finishes. ii. Replace the existing translucent roof and wall system with an insulated (min R-20), translucent system. iii. Replace the existing roof mounted relief air vent with a smaller, roof mounted vent interconnected with the HVAC system. iv. Replace existing hot water boiler with high efficiency, condensing type boilers. v. Replace the existing constant speed hot water and chilled water pumps with variable speed drives, motors and pumps. ABB drives are preferred. vi. Replace the existing domestic hot water heater with a high efficiency, condensing type water heater. vii. Perform retro commissioning of the entire HVAC system consisting of air handling units, VAV boxes and controls. Identify components that are currently not operating properly and replace parts up to $50K/building. Replacement costs to be negotiated prior to ordering and replacing items and then subtracted from the $50K. Any unused amount of this line item will be returned to the government. viii. Replace existing lighting with energy efficient lighting. ix. Replace existing electrical transformers within the facility with high efficiency K rated transformers. b. Building 7918: i. Replace exterior windows on the east and south side of the building with 1" thick thermal pane windows, clad exterior and inside light laminated for force protection. Exterior clad color and interior finish to match existing finishes. ii. Replace the existing power operated entrance doors with manually operated doors with 1" thick thermal pane windows, clad exterior and inside light laminated for force protection. Exterior clad color and interior finish to match existing finishes. iii. Replace the existing translucent wall and roof system with an insulated (min R-20), translucent system. iv. Replace the existing constant speed hot water and chilled water pumps with variable speed drives, motors and pumps. ABB drives are preferred. v. Perform retro commissioning of the entire HVAC system consisting of air handling units, VAV boxes and controls. Identify components that are currently not operating properly and replace parts up to $50K/building. Replacement costs to be negotiated prior to ordering and replacing items and then subtracted from the $50K. Any unused amount of this line item will be returned to the government. vi. Repair the outside air intake dampers on Air Handling Unit 1. vii. Replace existing pneumatic HVAC controls with electronic controls compatible with the existing Honeywell control system. The contractor shall be responsible for programming all new devices including programming on the existing Honeywell EBI system. viii. Replace existing lighting with energy efficient lighting. ix. Replace existing electrical transformers within the facility with high efficiency K rated transformers. 2. The contractor shall be responsible for accomplishing all design and investigative services for this project. Project magnitue is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
