Description
DELIVERY AND MONITORING OF TEXTILE CARE CHEMICALS Contractor shall provide all equipment, supplies, maintenance, parts, labor and supervision necessary to provide a complete laundry chemical program and injection systems to the following five VISN 16 Textile Care Facilities (TCF): VAMC Little Rock VAMC Houston VAMC Fayetteville VAMC Oklahoma City VAMC Alexandria The supplies and services include but are not limited to the following: Contractor will supply a full range of chemicals such as Alkali, detergent, soap (builder), anti-chlor, softener (including bacteriostats), sour (including rust remover). Chemicals, will meet environmental standards. Laundry chemicals must comply with all applicable GEMS requirements. Contractor shall deliver chemicals to VISN 16 TCF within five (5) business days of notice, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Chemicals must be effective for varying water temperatures ranging from 120 degree to 160 degree water conditions and processing equipment. Chemicals must come in liquid form; bulk storage or drums of various quantities Clean up of any spills resulting from delivery, transfer of connections will be the contractors responsibility. All clean up work will be performed in accordance with applicable regulations. All large spills in excess of one gallon must be reported to the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) and/or Contracting Officer. Provide and install supply chemical injection system compatible with supply chemical dispensing equipment in place at no charge. Provide quality assurance, analysis, service and injection system maintenance program. Program will include results of linen appearance, odor, stain removal, wrinkling, titration, bleach, iron, pH level, conditions found and actions taken. Program will also include machine conditions, running time, water levels and amount of supplies utilized on each type of linen. Provide a monthly reporting program to Environmental Management Service (EMS) Chief and Textile Care Manager (TCM). Solicitation documents to be available on or about April 15, 2009.
