- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory (NHEERL), Gulf Ecology Division, One Sabine Island Drive, Gulf Breeze, Florida, requires Construction of a new 120ft. long and 8ft. wide WetLab Pier to Replace the Existing WetLab Pier. The Base Contract work is to Build a New WetLab pier including a New Seawater Intake Pipeline. The Add Alternate work is to Demolish and Dispose of the Existing WetLab Pier. The General Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, hardware, and documentation necessary to complete the project. This is an unrestricted acquisition. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Contract award will be made using best value methodology. Two evaluation factors will be used: Past Performance and Price. The evaluation factors will be approximately equal in importance. The anticipated contract performance period is 12 months after receipt of the EPA notice to proceed. The estimated price of the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to be eligible for contract award. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, and site visit information, will be released through the internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fedbizopps.gov. The anticipated solicitation release date is approximately April 21, 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
