- Western Regional Contracting Office intends to solicit a Request for Proposals for Backfill Services consisting of Family Practice Physicians, Pediatric Physicians, Internal Medicine Physicians and Mid-Level Providers (Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners) at locations within the Western Regional Medical Command. The RFP will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. Services, which are required when the primary provider is deployed, may be needed at Troop Medical Clinic, Fort Richardson, Alaska; Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA; California Medical Detachment, Presidio of Monterey, CA and Weed Army Community Hospital, Fort Irwin, CA. Resulting contract will be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity with delivery orders issued a minimum of 90 days in advance of required start date. Delivery orders may be written for a minimum of 3 months up to a maximum of 12 months. Providers must agree to a minimum of three consecutive months of service. There are no provisions for time off. The contract will be written such that the Government may order up to a firm number of each specialty (overall, not at each location), as follows: Family Practice Physicians Six (6) Full Time Equivalents (FTE); Pediatric Physicians three (3) FTEs; Internal Medicine Physicians three (3) FTEs; and Mid-Level Providers four (4) FTEs. After award, submission of initial resume/CVs will be to MAMC who will notify the contractor of the proposed providers acceptability. The contract base period is expected to be on or about 1 July 2009 through 30 June 2010 and will contain four subsequent option years. The primary NAICS Code for this requirement is 621111, Offices of Physicians, with a size standard of $10 million. The solicitation will be posted on or about 7 Apr 2009 and will be available at https://acquisition.army.mil/. Prospective offerors shall download the solicitation and any other documents from the website. Contract award is anticipated to be on or about 15 June 2009.
