Description
The contractor shall, in accordance with all local, state and federal codes, Replace the existing fire alarm system with a "like" system. (Noted: The building is "Group B" occupancy.) Install combination detectors in the corridors and offices Install weather-proof heat detectors in the greenhouse corridor and storage areas Install pull stations at the exterior doors, including the south door. Install horn/strobe units as it must be audible to building occupants. Install strobes in the restrooms. Install and protect all wire in conduit. If the code allows, Wiremold devices are acceptable. Surface mount the conduit: penetrations must be caulked, but painting is not required. Replace the exterior bell, in coordination with the Corvallis Fire Dept. The system is required by the USDA, not the City of Corvallis. The system will be monitored by the Security Alarm Corp in Albany, OR. There are no blueprints available. The as-built drawings shall provide enough detail to enable identification of devices and wire runs for future services. Annotations on the sketch provided in the Statement of Work is the minimum level of detail. The roof top units are 1200 cfm. No duct detectors are required. There are no magnetic holdbacks. The following is not required: An exterior annunciator panel Detectors in the greenhouse or the interstitial spaces. A pull station in the storage (attached garage) area. Bonds are required in accordance with 52.228-13, Alternative Payment Protection.
