- The Asheville VAMC, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in construction to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision HVAC Controls at the Asheville VAMC, NC. All work shall be completed within 240 days after notice to proceed, which includes 60 days allowance for submittals. The NAICS code is 238210; small business size is $14M. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specifications on/or about 22 Apr 09. No hard copies provided. Pre-bid/walk-through is scheduled for 28 Apr 09 at 1400hrs, only one will be offered at the same time to all interested parties and will be at bldg. 15, 3rd floor, rm 330. Bid opening will be on/or about 22 May 09 and the deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior. Firms must be registered at Central Contractor Registry and at Vet Biz and Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening. Specifics on the project are as follows: This project will replace and upgrade the HVAC controls in Building 47 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. It includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of control points and wiring and installation of new control wiring and sensor points including dampers actuators and valves. Installation includes replacing and providing new remote panels and some conduit work to get wiring to these cabinets and to sensor locations. Work also includes programming the new controls so that the VA can monitor the operation and alarms for the HVAC system. The system should be a web-based controls system.
