Description
The subject requirement is for acquisition of 1 NSN(s). This proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class 4710. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for a multi-year contract of 3 years. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about 24 April 09 at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning for 1/C part number item. This signifies that this item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 3 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This NSN requires Government Source Inspection with a government first article testing requirement. The following sources are waived from any first article testing requirement: 99207 – General Electric and 78570 – Smiths Tubular. This solicitation will incorporate all clauses pertaining to the first article testing requirements into subject solicitation and is a Navy Identified Critical Safety Item (CSI). This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis other than full and open competition
