Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to acquire Port and Starboard Side Ship Service Diesel Generators, NSN’s 6115-01-539-8540 and 6115-01-540-3513 in support of the main diesel engines on board the 110’ WPB class Coast Guard Cutters. A warranty shall be in place for these parts in accordance with Specification # P-300-0434. Training sessions, estimated at 2 per year for an estimated 10 students, will be offered at the Contractors location. The Contractor will provide student guides and other course material. All offers must provide only new, genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. Remanufactured parts are not acceptable. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed priced, 5 year requirements contract will be awarded to Alaska Diesel Electric Inc., doing business as Northern Lights, for these items. It is the Government’s belief that only Alaska Diesel Electric Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or their authorized distributors, has the required technical, engineering specifications, and drawings to effectively manufacture these parts. This information is proprietary to Alaska Diesel Electric Inc. The Government did not procure this information, or the rights to use this information. Therefore, it is the Government’s intention to solicit and negotiate only with Alaska Diesel Electric Inc. or concerns as stated above. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide these items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 3 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include a letter from the OEM verifying the offeror can obtain genuine OEM parts. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. Submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein.
