Description

The US Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with MEDTRONIC INC. for the purchase of three (3) implantable heart defibulators, model Consulta D224TRK, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), (due to proprietary patent rights in design and data). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Any interested party may inquire with the Contract Specialist, Mr Bruce Taylor, at phone 210-671-2851, or email bruce.taylor@lackland.af.mil to identify their interest and capabilities. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely witin the discretion of the Government. This purchase is not a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 and the size standard is 500.
