- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or services. The USPTO is not seeking proposals at this time. The Government will not pay any costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. It is the intent of the USPTO to use this market research to assist in planning. If an RFQ is issued, the USPTO intends to issue it to Small Businesses under a GSA Schedule. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) created an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to overcome problems accessing and reporting on data from multiple data sources. The EDW provides easy access to data from a number of USPTO systems within a central location. The EDW includes data from financial and non-financial systems currently in production and historical information from retired sources. The EDW resides on a USPTO server serviced and maintained by the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) with collaboration from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial Management Systems (OFMS), and the contractors supporting the EDW. EDW reports are created using Business Objects for querying, reporting, and analysis of data. The EDW serves as the USPTO's only cross-functional reporting system and contains more than a thousand reports from over ten data sources. The EDW is the primary source for financial management reports for managers and analysts across the USPTO. Approximately 90% of the reports that support financial management are generated from the EDW. Please submit your capability statements identifying your experience with maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and creating and maintaining reports from EDW data.
