- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/index.aspx. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Government has a requirement for 55 hydrophone housing units (Drawing 53711-6029163). The Government anticipates issuing a firm, fixed price contract. This requirement is 100% set-aside to small business in accordance with FAR SUBPART 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business. Delivery is required F.O.B Destination 12 weeks after receipt of order (ARO). Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price related factors. The solicitation will be available on or about 22 APR 2009 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synoprfp.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Drawings are made available upon request (after solicitation is issued); contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database and must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in order to receive the technical package.
