Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE MULTIPLE AWARD CONTRACT CONTRACTORS UNDER THE EXISTING ELLSWORTH AFB 8(A) MACC IDIQ CONTRACT. REPAIR BACKYARD LANDSCAPING RUSHMORE HEIGHTS MFH REPAIR BACKYARD LANDSCAPING RUSHMORE HEIGHTS MFH: Design and remove all existing shrubbery, plastic bed edging and wood mulching in the back yards of 75 units of the Rushmore Heights MFH complex. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: In all the disturbed areas, provide adequate topsoil and place drought resistance sod. An acceptable example of sod will be the Thermal Blue variety as grown at the Valley Green Sod Farm in Rapid City. Existing trees are to be protected from all damage during construction activities. The complex shall be divided into 4 sections: (1) West side of Jefferson Drive; (2) East side of Jefferson Drive; (3) West side of Cleveland; and (4) east side of Cleveland. Each section must be completed and accepted by Contracting Officer before any work can begin in the next section. The Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling the work; the Contractor shall hand-deliver a notice to each occupant 5 days prior to the first day of work in that occupant's yard. The Contractor shall install temporary fencing (snow fence) on the house side of the work area, to allow the occupants maximum use of the remainder of the back yard for children, pets, etc during work accomplishment. The Contractor will be allowed to remove the chain link fencing fabric along the back sections of fence for easier accomplishment of the prescribed work, providing the temporary fencing listed above has been installed.; at completion of the work, the fabric shall be reinstalled to the same standards as when it was removed. Project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
