- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision necessary to complete Project 679-08-116HVAC Upgrades and Repairs at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Contractor shall provide HVAC equipment and control upgrades for Buildings 1, 4, 18, 33, 40, and 46. This project includes the one-for-one replacement of several air handlers and HVAC control upgrades for those facilities receiving new equipment. Reference Design Drawings HVAC Repairs Buildings 1, 4, 18, 33, 40, and 46. the estimated dollar value of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on/about April 30, 2009, with an estimated bid opening date of May 30, 2009. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. This solicitation is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All solicitation packages will be available for downloading from the website www.fedbizopps.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED. However, hard copies of the drawings will be issued on a first come first serve basis only to prime contractors; no drawings will be issued to sub-contractors. Only twenty (20) sets of drawings will be issued. All requests for drawings and/or questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Wanda Goolsby (10N7/NLO), VA Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 or by e-mail to Wanda.Goolsby@VA.GOV, please submit your request no later than April 27, 2009. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available ONLY at the website. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments from the website.
