- THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROJECT. The FAA is seeking firms capable to perform the following work at the Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center, Aurora, Illinois. Work consists of but is not limited to the following:1.Generator Building (between column lines 3 and 8): Remove existing roofing and insulation down to deck and provide TPO membrane roofing system on rigid insulation per reference drawings CHI-5896-A22R and CHI-5896-A23R. Furnish roof anchor restraints and walkway pads.2.Loading Dock, Supply Area and Corridor: Remove approximately 3,400 square feet of existing roofing and insulation down to deck and provide TPO membrane roofing system on rigid insulation per drawing ZAU-GL-D-1207-A01 and reference drawings: ZAU-GL-D-1207-A3, -A4, -A6 and -A7. 3.Replace portion of concrete driveway and parking area south of the ARTCC Administration Wing per drawing ZAU-GL-D-2837-EL00-CM-T3.4.Replace southwest portion of existing concrete parking lot per drawing ZAU-GL-D-2837-EL00-CM-T3.5.Resurface damaged portion of the top landing of concrete stair at east areaway for Automation Wing Basement per specifications. 6.Automation Wing Basement: Remove abandoned 2" to 5" diameter steel power conduits at ceiling level (basis of bid = 2,000 linear feet).7.Replace two (2) purge systems for York Chillers #100 and #200 in Administration Wing Basement Chiller Room (#B115) with high-efficiency purge systems per drawing ZAU-GL-D-2254-M003. 8.Provide electric fin heaters in Automation Wing Basement Rooms 15A, 16A, 17A, 18A, 19A and 20A per drawing ZAU-GL-D-2254-M003 and associated power per drawings ZAU-GL-D-2254-009-T1 and -E019.9.Other work as identified on the drawings and in the specificationsOffer range is between $250,000 and $500,000 with a performance time of approximately 120 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for June/July 2009. Interested firms should fill out and return the pre-qualification Screening Information Request (SIR) Application No. DTFAGL-09-R-00182. Upon completion of evaluation process, only those firms determined to be qualified will be sent a Request for Offer (RFO). The RFO is anticipated to be available by May 2009. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
