- Under the Authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, the VISN 19 Rocky Mountain Consolidated Contracting Center, Denver, CO, proposes to enter into a non-competitive commercial items contract with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, 101 Columbia Ave., Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, to provide to each VA facility under the direction of VISN 19, subscription accessed to their internet-based educational program entitled "Essentials of Critical-Care Orientation," to include access for approximately 40 User Enrollee's. Contractor's unique characteristics include, endorsement by the national nursing organization which establishes standards for orientation and education of critical care nurses; web-based instruction for use by individual facilities at any time; allows nurses in remote facilities to participate in a standardized course without travel to larger facilities; self-paced instruction tailored to learner's needs; cut in instructor time; experts provide continual course content update monthly and annually; can be used as a refresher course for current critical care staff; and program based on AACN's Core Curriculum for critical care nursing practice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within the due date for receipt of proposals will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. *****
