Description
The Specialty Center Acquisition NAVFAC (SCAN), Port Hueneme, California, has the requirement for the procurement and delivery of a 2-wheel, 400-gallon, potable water tank trailer in accordance with the applicable Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center Purchase Description. This effort shall include the program management, design, construction, coating, testing, inspection and delivery of 400-gallon potable water tanks mounted on a 2-wheel trailer. Estimated quantities are approximately 740. The successful Contractor shall primarily deliver the hardware to the Government at destination (Port Hueneme, CA and Gulfport, MS) and other possible designated locations as specified. The hardware shall be packaged and delivered in accordance with contract's packaging and delivery instructions. The successful Contractor shall provide the resources for loading and securing the trailers for transportation without any damage. The successful Contractor shall provide th! e resources, equipment, and facilities to meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives in accomplishing these efforts. The successful Contractor shall have and maintain a quality system that complies with ISO 9001-2000 or later. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed-price single award contract will be awarded. The ordering period will be for a period of five (5) years. This procurement is being processed in accordance with FAR 15, contracting by Negotiations using a Request for Proposal. This requirement is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336212. The Small Business Size Standard is 500. After proposals are evaluated, an award will be made with reasonable promptness to that responsible bidder to the Government, considering technical and the price-related factors included in the solicitation. When issued, the solicitation will be posted in the NAVFAC website at http://esol.navf! ac.navy.mil. The website is free and provides instructions for downloading the solicitation. Prospective bidders are responsible for downloading a copy of the solicitation from the NAVFAC website. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 24 APR 2009; the closing date will be 30 days after posting. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all firms must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov prior to any award of a contract.
