Description
The United States Army Special Operation Command (USASOC) has a requirement for a regulator to power the Panasonic CF-18/19 Computer. The external battery regulator plugs into the standard Army battery (BA590/BA5590) and is secured with a Velcro strap. The regulator can supply power to the computer and keep the computer battery charged. In an emergency, the adapter can also power the CF18/19 without the computer battery being installed. Using a readily available BA-5590 with a regulator set to 16V can power a Panasonic ToughBook computer for up to twice as long as its own internal battery. Requirements will be fully detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation number is H92239-09-T-0025 and will be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). USASOC intends to award on a competitive basis, using simplified acquisition procedures. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business. The anticipated NAICS code is 334417 with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Information regarding this registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/. Offerors will be required to complete either a paper copy of the Representations and Certifications or may complete them online at http://orca.bpn.gov) in responding to this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking this web-site for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. No individual notification of any amendment will be provided. Proposal due date and time will be included in the solicitation.
