Description
This is the second notice and is called the synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located at White Deer, Pennsylvania anticipates issuance of a solicitation to repair and replace existing site utility systems including potable water, sanitary sewer and storm water drainage at the United States Penitentiary (USP) located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for this construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237110, which contains a size standard of $33.5 million. The period of performance for the resulting contract is 545 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. There are no tax exemptions. The projected issuance of solicitation IFB LEW-0015 will occur approximately May 5, 2009, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration’s Federal Business Opportunity web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
