Description
Furnish labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, except for operator furnished property, to remove approximately 1620 rods of woven wire fence and 195 rods of barbed wire fence and replace with approximately 2,370 rods of 4-wire (bottom smooth wire) barbed fences. All existing corners, panels, gates, wood and steel posts along the fence route of the location maps shall be replaced unless designated otherwise. Tie in to existing fences and structures as designated.Work will consist of the following items:1) Mobilization, 1 lump sum2) Barbed Wire Fence, 4 wire, 2370 rods3) Wire Fence Removal, 1815 rods4) Barbed Wire End Panel, 4 ea5) Barbed Wire Stress Panel, 40 each6) 3-Post Corner, 10 ea7) 3-Post Rail Corner, 10 ea8) Barbed Wire Gate, 8 Ea9) Wood Line Post, 10 ea. Quantities are estimated for Items 2-9. The period of performance is 73 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Work will start on/about June 15, 2009. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238990. This is set aside for Small Business concerns. The small businss size standard is $14 million. A 100% payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000.00. Payment protection will be due upon notification of our intent to make award. Payment protection can be submitted by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. A tentative Site Tour is scheduled for May 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM. More information on the site tour will be posted in the Solicitation. The solicitation will be posted during the week of April 28, 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office and will be available at "https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/". Response date for quotes will be on/about May 28, 2009. Please check the solicitation for all required documentation to be submitted. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR and ORCA databases will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at "http://www.ccr.gov", and Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) online at "http://orca.bpn.gov".
