- Savage Pass Culvert Replacements - The project consists of three culvert replacement sites. The first site is a small stream at MP-3.2 of Road 360. It consists of the removal of an undersized metal pipe and replacement with 53” x 41” x 40’ Steel Pipe Arch Culvert. The second site is a second channel of Swamp Creek at MP-6.00 of Road 360. It consists of the removal of 2 - 48” metal pipes and replacement with 96” x 67” x 40’ Steel Pipe Arch culvert. The third site is a small stream at MP-2.20 of Road 359. It consists of the removal of an 18” metal pipe and replacement with 24” x 38’ Steel Pipe Culvert and reconstruction of the fill. All culverts are basic road maintenance with two having fish present. Work includes culvert removal, installation of new structure, rebuilding road in vicinity of the new structure, placing riprap, placing government furnished aggregate, and all other work needed to complete the project as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. There are no restrictions on the timing of instream work. All work must be completed by October 30, 2009. The project sites are located at noted mile post along road 360, Savage Pass and road 359, Colt Creek. Access the project by taking the Elk Summit Road 111 from MP 163 on Hwy 12 (1.5 miles east of Powell) for 5.8 miles to the junction of road 360. Follow road 360 to the projects. Price estimate for the project is between $25,000 - $100,000.
