- Mox Creek Culvert Removal and Replacement – The project consists of two culvert sites. The first site is at MP-0.1 of Road 5196. It consists of the removal of an undersized metal pipe and replacement with 117”x 79”x 82’ Steel Pipe Arch Culvert. The second site is at MP-0.1 of Road 5128. It consists of the removal of an undersized metal pipe, all existing fill and decommissioning 0.3 miles of road. The culvert replacement and removal are to improve aquatic passage. Work includes culvert removal, (fill removal), installation of new structure, rebuilding road in vicinity of the new structure, placing riprap, building grade control structures, placing government furnished aggregate, road obliteration, seeding and all other work needed to complete the project as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. There are no restrictions on the timing of instream work. All work must be completed by October 30, 2009. The project is located on the Lochsa Ranger District, Clearwater National Forest, approx. 40 miles from Kamiah. Access to the project is via County & Forest Service (FS) Road 100 out of Kamiah to FS Road 103 and follow it approx. 6 miles to the junction of Road 520. Follow it approx. 0.5 miles to the junction of FS Road 528 and follow 528 approx. 1.5 miles to the junction of FS Road 5127. The two sites are on spur roads 5192 and 5128 just off road 5127. Price estimate for the project is between $25,000 - $100,000
