- On or about 30 April 2009, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Hazelton Parking Lot Surfacing, Oahe Reservoir, North Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 01 June 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact Eric Stasch or Lee Jay Templeton, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Oahe Project, Pierre, South Dakota Phone Number 605-224-5862 Ext. 3001 or 3206. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Project consists of an 85,300 SF asphalt parking lot and a 2 lane, 22 foot wide access road approximately 1100 feet long. Work includes the placement of approximately 3650 tons of sub-base material 6 inches thick and 3200 tons of asphalt surfacing 4 inches thick. Also included are 510 lineal feet of curb and gutter. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$250,000 and $500,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
