- Description
- In accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 19 Small Business Programs, and FAR Part 36, Construction, and FAR Clause 52-219.27, Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside, the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business to furnish and install a fire suppression system and fire line at Cowpens National Battlefield, Chesnee, SC. The work includes installation and certification of approximately 1,610 linear feet of eight inch ductile pipe fire line and design, installation, and certification of approximately 7,079 square feet of antifreeze fire sprinkler system. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment and incidentals required to complete the work. The system will meet all applicable Federal, State and local codes including the National Fire Protection Association requirements. A firm fixed-price contract will be issued with a performance period of 90 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation, Q5510090004, will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center's (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about April 29, 2009. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. The NAICS code for this project is 238210. The small business size standard is $14M. This solicitation is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business set-aside. In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors will be asked to register their company with the electronic commerce website above. Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1-888-546-0024, and your Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). All vendors must also register at the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at the internet site http://www.ccr.gov.
