Description

The U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid intends to award a sole source, commercial item simplified acquisition in the amount of $64,292.67 to Sterling Commerce, Inc. This requirement will encompass simplified acquisition procedures to procure the software maintenance as reflected in the table below. This software maintenance is for a period of performance from 5/1/09 – 4/30/2010. Based on the continuing service needs, this requirement will be awarded as a sole source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, specifically use of a commercial BRAND name product, will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement no later than April 15, 2009, 2:00 P.M.(EST). Companies that wish to respond to this notice must be authorized re-sellers of this service product.
