- Description
- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army, RDECOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order to Aerial Machine & Tool Corporation 4298 Jeb Stuart Highway, Vesta, VA 24177. The order involves purchasing three (3) Airborne Tactical Extraction Platform (AirTEP) Systems in support of a combat evaluation. This is being sole-sourced to Aerial Machine & Tool Corp. because they are currently the sole manufacturer and sales licensee in the United States of this specific system. Unlike other extraction systems the AirTEP System is the only multi-person extraction system that has the capabilities the Government is specifically looking for including safely infiltrating/exfiltrating a minimum of 3000 lbs (10 Operators) from potentially hostile environments. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that determines it can meet the requirements may give written notice to the Contract Specialist within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Nathan.C.Jordan@us.army.mil. Responses will be evaluated, however, a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This synopsis expires 24 April at 1000 EST.
