Description
USACE, St. Paul District, has an immediate requirement to furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary for the removal and proper disposal of protective measures from the specified areas. Items to be removed under this contract include Hesco Units, sand or clay reinforcements, poly sheeting, stockpiled sand or clay, damaged Hesco units, Hesco units not installed in Fargo, ND. Hesco units to be removed are located on streets, adjacent sidewalks and boulevards. They are also located along Drain 27, near golf courses, in private yards, and in close proximity to public utilities. Specific reaches will be described in each task order. The Hesco Units include both three and four foot high basket units filled with sand in both single and double height installations. Double height installations include a base row that is two units in depth. Select areas of single height installations also have two units in depth. All materials installed as part of the temporary installation shall be removed and disposed of off site as indicated below. This includes the Hesco Units, sand fill, poly sheeting, sand and clay reinforcements, damaged Hesco Units previously removed and any other miscellaneous materials on site. The miscellaneous materials include items such as pallets, packing materials, stockpiled sand and/or clay, etc. Household debris removal is not included in this contract. Some site work may be required to facilitate the removal process. Upon completion of removal activities, the site shall be left in a state to minimize hazards to the public. The contractor shall utilize best management practices to prevent loose materials from entering storm water drains or other waterways. Offerors should check the FedBizOpps Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Solicitation Issue date on or about 15 April 2009. Offer due date on or about 21 April 2009, 1600 Hours. This procurement is issued under NAICS code 562219 for a firm fixed price IDIQ contract with task orders to be issued for individual reaches. This procurement is set aside 100% for eligible 8(a) firms located within the geographical area designated as affected counties under the Presidents declaration of emergency for the Fargo, North Dakota area.
