Description
The purpose of this notice is to correct the contract type and period of performance as stated in the original Presolicitation notice for the GAVELS requirement (W9115U-09-R-0001). The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Delivery Order in accordance with FAR Part 15 for the design, development, and production of a Geometric Automated Video Enhanced Location System (GAVELS) capable of recording with multiple video cameras in order to calculate position using triangulation techniques. A minimum of one (1) GAVELS enhancement unit will be ordered at contract award, with a maximum quantity of three. The period of performance is three-years. The system enhancement shall be conducted in a phased approach. Phase I shall be a design phase to include the development of a comprehensive system Enhancement Plan. In Phase I, the primary tasks are to analyze the current GAVELS system capabilities and weigh those capabilities against the requirements; develop an Enhancement Plan; and design, build and demonstrate proof-of-concept. Phase II shall include producing and testing the system designed in Phase I. Approximate issue date of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about 24 April 2009. The RFP will be issued in electronic format and posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPS) and the AMSCA website: https://www.amsca.atec.army.mil. It is industrys responsibility to periodically check these sites, as the Government will not issue subsequent notices after the issuance of the RFP.
