Description
THE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THIS PROCUREMENT IS ELSA GONZALEZ, TELEPHONE (310) 725-7499SIR Description: This is a small business set-aside for local contractors located in Honolulu or Kona, Hawaii ONLY.The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area, Los Angeles, CA has a requirement for Engineering Design Services for the Kona VOR Relocation project located in the Kona International Airport. Contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Obtain a soil report from a geotechnical firm for pre-fab building foundation and steel frame counterpoise footing design. Provide a pre-fabricated building foundation and steel frame footing design and layout a plot plan such as grading, drainage, access road, and utilities on a 180' x 180' lot with pre-fab building located on the center and steel frame counterpoise (diameter 75') across the top of the building. Consolidate design material and prepare plans and specifications for construction bid package. This includes pre-fabricated building drawings, steel frame structural drawings, engine generator and fuel tank connections, lighting protection and grounding, security fencing, and contracted design work. The exact site location will be determined at the time of award. Provide construction cost estimate. Performance Schedule: 90% design must be submitted for the engineer's review and approval forty-four (44) working days after receipt of notice-to-proceed and government furnished drawings. Comments, if any will be returned to the design firm within five (5) working days from date of receipt by the engineer. Revised, final drawings, incorporating the engineer's comments must be delivered within seven (7) working days of receipt of engineer's comments. Award will be based on the best value to the FAA considering qualifications of key personnel, past performance, technical capabilities and cost realism. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar and scope. Vendors must complete and submit the attached Business Declaration Form. Contractors must have an active registration in the CCR before contract award can be made. Contractors can register at: www.ccr.gov The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer to this requirement. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
