- NSN: 1270-00-578-0536, PR 0021138823, SPM4A7-09-R-0959. The item is a Sight Assembly, Helmet. The item description cites Bell Helicopter Company, CAGE: 97499, Rev “E”, drawing 209-071-142, dated 12 Aug 1978, P/N 209-071-142-1. The approved sources is: L3 Communications Corp, CAGE: 06401, P/N 2251773-00. Configuration Control applies. This is a Critical Application Item (CAI). This is not a Critical Safety Item (CSI). The solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Definite Quantity Contract (FFP) The purchase request quantity is 46 each. FOB is at Destination, with Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. The delivery is 314 days ARO. The DLA Direct shipment locations are within CONUS, Susquehanna, PA and San Joaquin, CA. This is solicited as Unrestricted, using Other Than Full and Open Competition. This is not a commercial item. Progress payments are not included. The solicitation will issue on April 28, 2009. The closing date is May 28, 2009. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
