Description
A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Fox River Dams Sluiceway Repairs at DePere, Rapide Croche, Little Chute, and Cedars Dams w/ Options for Little Kaukauna and Kaukauna Dams. The work consists of placement of stoplogs and local cofferdams, dewatering work areas, removal of steamhouse, trunnion pins and portions of concrete piers, placement of reinforced concrete, installation of new trunnion pins and bearings, fabrication and installation of new gate arms and removal and reinstallation of existing gates and guardrails. Required work also includes concrete surface and crack repairs using chemical grout at portions of concrete piers not removed but contained in coffer area. The number of piers included are listed below by dam: Base Contract: DePere 10 piers, Rapide Croche 5 piers, Little Chute 10 piers, Cedars 8 piers and Optional line items Little Kaukauna 9 piers and Kaukauna 9 piers. The solicitation when advertised will be an Invitation for Bid. The contract will have 12 month completion requirement. The estimated award date of the contract is 15 June 2009. The estimated cost range of construction is between $1M to $5M. Only Contractors who submit the following information according to the following directions will be considered: Download, fully complete, and return "Sources Sought fillable form" PDF file Brief company summary and overview of the firm's capabilities including similar experience in construction projects similar in scope and cost magnitude to the subject project and the date when the project was completed. Bonding Capacity: Firms MUST submit a LETTER or BONDING CERTIFICATE from their bonding company related to their bonding capacity for individual projects. Bonding capacity must meet or exceed stated project price range. Contractors interested in responding are invited to submit their information via email only to Detroit District Contracting at LRE-Quotes@usace.army.mil and Dean.Liguori@USACE.Army.mil PLEASE REFERENCE "SOURCES SOUGHT: Fox River Trunnion and Gate, Wisconsin" in the subject line. Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of this Sources Sought notice. All attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Please send responses by 2:00 PM EST on 22 Apr 2009. The formal solicitation will be issued at a later date by a separate announcement. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments.
